This piece did not progress well. While painting, I had issues with the spray nozzles clogging up and splattering paint, leading to an uneven finish. The masking technique that worked so well previously was ineffective here. And I changed my mind about color part way in. Unhappy with the result, I then painted over the inner sections with neon paint using a brush. Twice. Meanwhile, I decided to start over and create a new one where I painted the components before assembly. This worked much better. You can see it in June 2023.
