About the Artist
Artist's Statement
My work is a manifestation of life’s most profound and unspoken emotions—joy, awe, and a deep sense of universal connection. It explores the tension between isolation and unity, the personal and the collective, the ephemeral and the eternal. I am drawn to the paradox of existence: moments of profound clarity that exist alongside mystery and uncertainty.
Through my art, I seek to convey the resonance of being alive, thriving in the desert, enduring and evolving, and finding beauty in both the finite and infinite. My practice is both a journey of self-exploration and a dialogue with the world around me, where the earth, nature, and the cosmos converge. I work at the intersection of the subatomic and the cosmic, the egoless and the ego-driven, creating spaces that hold both freedom and constraint.
My work is a reflection of the human condition: it is about holding on, letting go, and navigating the complexities of time and space. It is a celebration of the present moment, of the unseen forces that connect us, and of the endless potential for creation and transformation.
Bio
Though trained as a mechanical engineer, my lifelong passion has always been art. Over the course of my career, I have worked as an engineer, glassblower, and web developer—experiences that continue to inform my creative process and shape the way I approach form, structure, and innovation.
Before committing fully to my artistic practice, I explored a wide range of media including photography, wood, ceramics, glass, and paint. Each discipline offered its own language and way of seeing, and together they form the foundation of my multidisciplinary approach.
I was born and raised in the beach community of Encinitas, California, and studied at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After graduating, I lived in Southern and Northern California, as well as on both the west and east coasts of Canada, before settling in Tempe, Arizona, in 2015. The places I’ve called home—and the diverse professional paths I’ve traveled—continue to influence my work, infusing it with a blend of technical precision, material curiosity, and a deep connection to the environments that have shaped my life.
